Lucy the Great is 10 months old. I seriously can't deal with how quickly her first year is going and may need some serious emotional support when she hits the big "1." She is SOOOOO much fun. Such a little personality. She covers her face and then uncovers it and waits for you to call "peek-a-boo!" She knows when she is being funny and goes "heh heh heh." She crawls EVERYWHERE and so quickly! I'll go around a corner and she follows and then starts laughing when you turn around to see her. She pulls herself up to standing non-stop- gets on her tippy toes and lifts her legs like she's trying to climb. She climbed up two steps for the first time on her 10 month birthday! She just wandered up to them and just cruised over them without any hesitation and then looked at us after we started cheering like, "what? what's the big deal?" She's really cute about sitting- getting better at it- but still very cautious and slow. She adores her puppies, she is getting better at petting versus a hard pat, but she still does favor the hard pat. They return the favor by licking her to death. Everything continues to go into her mouth. She loves flipping pages of books and magazines. She has recently decided that baths are a severe form of torture, and I think it is a result of her last swimming lesson when I had her dunk her head... perhaps too soon. She thinks it is hilarious when I am lying on my back and she'll crawl over and "tackle" me and start giggling away. It's the most amazing sound to have her laughing away. She's also learning the fake cry. Her little face turns so quickly with big crocodile tears- but then as soon as she gets her way it's all giggles and smiles again. Amazing little expressions. Tongue is out constantly. She "talks" nonstop. Babbles away. Sometimes she'll be in her crib after a nap or in the morning and is just chatting away. So much to say! A lot of it sounds like "yesss." She is seriously the most amazing, fun little girl. She is the Energizer bunny with endless amounts of energy. She doesn't sleep a wink but it doesn't seem to phase her in the slightest. She is officially 17 lbs and 7 oz, and 28 inches long. Still a teeny tiny little thing, or rather, just perfect perfect perfect. WE LOVE YOU LUCY!!!!!!!
