Well this past St. Patty's Day was another momentous one- as it was the day Lucy found out she was going to be a big sister! (I knew there was a chance and I thought I should check before we went out and enjoyed the green beer...) We're (or I guess I should say "I'm" - since Ben thinks it's embarrassing to say "we're") due at the end of November. When Ben and I discussed a sibling for Lucy- the plan was to wait until they'd be at least 2 years apart. When Ben heard the due date he looked at me and said, "no one said you weren't a planner." We are absolutely thrilled about the news and can't wait to meet thelittle nugget. Lucy has been such an utter joy to our lives and the most unspeakably amazing blessing. We know this new one will be adding just as much joy and will be a completely different little person in every way. Who knows? Maybe this one will sleep?
Anyone who knows me, knows by now that I'm obsessed with my child and just adore being a mother. That said- I didn't enjoy pregnancy too much the first time around and with the level of morning sickness I'm suffering from, I don't know how much I'm going to enjoy it this time either. So apologies to anyone I've hung out with in the past few- I know I've been terribly grumpy and terrible company. I've thrown up in pretty much every location possible in LA, and am just willing the calendar to get me through this initial stage. Fat, tired and uncomfortable I can deal with, I just need to be able to go to the grocery store without swallowing bile every 2 minutes. And Lucy and Ben are both incredibly bored with my pity parties and lack of interest in anything.
My last pregnancy was documented with belly pics. Since my belly is not ready for that kind of attention right now- I've opted to do pictures of size comparisons for now. (I'm very much showing). So this is Baby at approximately 4 weeks. A sesame seed.
And this is Baby at the 6 week ultrasound:

And this is Baby at 8 weeks. A kidney bean (I didn't have any kidney beans so this is a raisin. They are about the same size right?):
And this is me napping with Lucy... both a bit tuckered out from all the changes.
And this is me and Lucy napping in the car... where Ben found us one afternoon...
