Active Day

Woke up this AM knowing I had to get in a 6-mile run for my training.  Tip-toed out to the living room because O'Neil was bunking up on the couch.  Rather predictably, the dogs heard me and started barking- so I unleashed the hounds deciding it was time for Steve to get up anyway.  Most unfortunate for him, as I quickly pounced on him to be my running partner for the morning.

We celebrated with breakfast burritos at Novel Cafe, and while there, got a call from Heidi screaming that she was picking me up in 5 minutes for a hike in Topanga Canyon and we BETTER be ready.

5 more miles later, I was limping down the hill, not sure if I was going to make it home in my dehydrated and weakened state.  I did, but I don't think I'm doing anything the rest of the day. My 80-year old knees and hips are also indicating I'm not likely to be doing this d*mn half marathon either.  At least I'm not fuschia like O'Neil, the red-headed devil, who claims the color he's achieved is his "base" for the summer.

Danny and Ben went surfing and then ate burgers.  We're sure enjoying the 70 degree weather and sunny conditions out here in LA....
