I made it out of lasik alive. I thought the worst part was them prying open my eyelids and then pressing down on the eyeball. I thought it was going through to the other side of my skull. I'd also be lying if I said I didn't start to freak out a bit when I saw them lifting off the cornea.... I almost told them to stop, and I didn't breathe for the entire process for fear I'd shift and screw something up. Post op though, I've had very little discomfort, and I think I'm totally going to start a new hip trend with these super sexy goggles I get to sport. As for my vision- I think it's vastly improved, though I won't be able to tell for sure until I take off these silly things tomorrow morning.

Mooney made it to LA in time to catch a lovely sunset. It's nice our city can perform for guests on cue. He and Ben are off getting dessert right now and they are planning their day 'o surfing and/or golf. Lives of leisure... must be nice. Though Ben deserves it since he's been giving himself coronary arrest over the market recently. He actually asked if we should look into disability insurance for him if he has a nervous breakdown. Should I be worried?

In the boys' absence the pups are my caretakers. Useless as usual, but I chalk it up to them being tired by their new active lifestyle.

And finally- the very gorgeous arrangement from Mrs. Manetti - because she's probably the most thoughtful and reliable flower gifter ever. She also manages to find the most excellent florist in town as
Floral Art in Venice never disappoints. So far and yet so close Kate is.

So back to work tomorrow. I'd love to take the day off begging my eyes as an excuse, but sadly my whole group has had it done and they know it's a breeze. The consolation is that tomorrow IS Friday, so I think I'll make it to another weekend...
Don't forget it's Daylight Savings on Saturday night!
