The highlights of the end of this past week revolved around food. For me anyway. Ben got in a nice game of golf yesterday, which he probably considers a highlight as well.
We met up with Hilary for some Memphis-style BBQ on Thursday night at Baby Blues BBQ in Venice. Excellent for spicy cornbread, spicy shrimp, spicy chicken, spicy mac-n-cheese, spicy sweet potatoes etc... There was a near crisis when I overheard the server saying they were out of mac-n-cheese, but apparently I snuck my order in just in time to get one of the final servings.

Last night we met up with Robin and Karl for some finer dining at The Penthouse at the Huntley Hotel in Santa Monica, but just as good as Baby Blues. Don't they just look like they are glowing?

After a solid 10-hours of sleep last night I feel like I've re-entered the world of the living. We went to the Farmer's Market on the Promenade for breakfast and then met up with Heidi and Kaylie for "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" - which kept me laughing loud enough by myself to embarrass those with me. Then we all pushed ourselves into a yoga class, where I was about to fall asleep on the floor, so now we are all feeling quite accomplished.
I love weekends but they go by way too quickly!
