Ben and I went and saw The Other Guys this week. Very funny AND Michael Keaton was in it. I haven't seen him in forever.
And speaking of peacocks needing to fly. Lucy is a free spirit who's sleep schedule cannot be tamed. We've tried pretty much everything at this point- and each new method seems to catch on and work for about three days, gives us (Ben) some hope, and then Little Lucy takes control of the situation and informs us that the current method is a load of crap and she's not taking it anymore. And then we suffer through a month of trying to get that method to work again to no avail. Which is our current state of affairs. I actually think the poor thing is starting to hate her crib- as I found her after an incredibly failed attempt at a nap, literally hanging from the edge of it trying to climb out with tears and snot flying everywhere. It was unspeakably sad. We've had to drop her crib down yet again so I don't have to have nightmares of her tumbling to an uncertain fate during all aborted nap and night times. And we have moved beyond the "wussy" sleep training and have lately settled on CIO which is very traumatic for me- to the point where Ben came home last night and I had broken open a bottle of wine and eaten copious amounts of chocolate just to get through bedtime. I'd love to chuck all these asinine methods out the window, but at this point- I think the poor thing is so confused that I don't even think it is possible to go back to pre-sleep training. The good news is that she's exceptionally cute and sweet natured whenever she's not within 10 feet of her crib.

Malloy said that he doesn't appreciate Lucy taking his toy giraffe home with her and she chewing on it is seen as just rubbing it in. Also, you can so tell that Lucy is a little squiggle worm these days by the blur of the bottom left picture. So cute! Oh and tell Lucy she better play it cool or Daddy won't allow for a little brother or sister!!! Hang in there honey!
