More Visitors!

We've got all sorts of visitors this week and Lucy is enjoying showing off for everyone. Papa, Grandma, Auntie Heidi, YaYa and Pancho are all here! Grandma even came bearing a special gift for Lucy that she had made all by herself on the ol' sewing machine. We were all impressed with the handiwork. That said- Lucy wore the dress for about 20 minutes, and then changed back into her bathing suit- because that's apparently the only thing she will deign to wear right now. She announces "suit! suit!" and takes off anything else I try to put on her. Should be convenient this weekend when she is a flower girl for Auntie/Godmother Jana's nuptials, and is supposed to wear the requisite darling dress!

In other Goose news - she currently counts "1, 2, 3" (often saying it before "jump" into any sand, hole, etc) and can say "a, b, c, d." She's starting to string together a lot of sentences. She loves to help. Ben was pulling out golf clubs and she came into the house saying "I help daddy golf clubs." She also helps mommy by feeding the dogs, closing doors and drawers, putting clothes in the hamper, trash in the basket, and occasionally even taking off her diaper... She climbs on everything and is a little monkey. Which is, of course, leading to more bumps and bruises. Most significantly- she tripped and smacked her face on the coffee table a few nights ago, resulting in a black eye! We iced it pretty quickly so staved off most of the swelling, but our little bruiser may or may not be rocking a shiner at the wedding this weekend... It's very sad. Luckily, Lucy's mommy seems the most traumatized by it all- and the Goose doesn't seem in any discomfort after the initial shock of the fall was over.
