Pebble Beach

We spent this past weekend up in Pebble Beach at La Maison pres de la Mer thanks to Mr. Cameron and his unceasing generosity.  The weekend away was the perfect escape for us and all things house related, as my amazing husband has officially started to lose it and is starting to look the part of a mental patient.

We spent the first night in and Mike and Sarah played chef and cooked us up an amazing meal.  Good food, good wine, and everything was going well until the Atwoods smoked us in Pictionary.  That was a bit of a buzzkill.

The next day the boys played golf at Bayonet and Blackhorse in Seaside.  Apparently the course was ridiculously beautiful, and the boys claimed it was VERY hard accounting for scorecards just under 100.  Pin placement was "Sunday at the Masters" according to Benny.  Sarah and I did a bit of damage to the credit cards to keep ourselves busy while the boys were away.

Saturday night was more great food and more great wine at Casanova restaurant.  They have Van Gogh's actual dinner table there for people to eat at.  We went more pedestrian and sat at commoner's table, but all was excellent nonetheless.

Sunday no one wanted to leave, so the guys took in another 9 holes at a local par 3, and Sarah and I went to the Del Monte Mall and shopped again.  Apparently when you buy a house you find all sorts of fun ways to spend money you no longer have.

Then we drove home.  Charlie got carsick, Jackson ate it, Ben slept, and I sang along to the local country station.
