More fun house updates!
1. We are WIRED. This doesn't mean we have Internet or Cable yet (much to my obsession with Project Runway- season premiere tonight's dismay), but we do have the WIRES installed so that this may one day be a possibility! The wires came with large holes in my walls which Ben swears will be covered up.
2. After using my fancy brand new dishwasher all of twice, upon opening it yesterday, the door fell off. Just fell off! Apparently we are SOL with the warranty, as it was installed in 2006 despite never having been used. Insert colorful remark by Ben here.
3. Ben wanders around with a manic look in his eye, muttering things about to-do lists and appointments, which is a severe breach of character for the darling guy. He asked me last weekend after we spent the day at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond if this was how the rest of his weekends were destined to play out and started quoting Will Ferrell in "Old School" with a sad look on his face.
Pics of the pups - who were sent outside for being, according to Ben, too loud in the mornings. While they adore the yard, they were a bit confused as to why they didn't even have the option to come in anymore.

It will ALL settle down!! Especially once you hire your crew of cleaners, gardeners, etc.! The house we made an offer on right before ours (we luckily didn't get it) had a HUGE plumbing issue right after the new people moved in...to the tune of $60k!!! I am glad yours was just a dishwasher!

Davis loves your blog and repeatedly reminds me to check it... I am glad I did today! The pictures of the doggies are hilarious. My love to both of y'all. Congratulations and good luck with the house! Our washing machine and dishwasher broke in the same day last week.
Greetings from NC. Rest assured, you didn’t miss anything on Project Runway. I'm very sad to say that the premiere (and the designers) were completely underwhelming. It’s still way too soon to call the season, but the early results are poor. More house pics and stories of Ben being Bob Villa, please!! My best to the pups.
