Four of Us in Florida

The fabulous John and Ginny arrived to get the party started on Wednesday evening.  Very excited to see them as ever, we were even MORE excited this time as Ginny is glowing and with child and we're very very thrilled for them.  

Our long weekend with the Comlys was a blur of eating, beach, pool, sun, sleeping and reading.  Or that's what Ginny and I did.  John and Ben mixed in some golf, fishing and boozing.  Having a preggers Ginny around allowed me to indulge my inner laziness and use her as an excuse.  It was very excellent.  However, I think the boys thought we were lame and decided they were on a perpetual date the whole time while Ginny and I were lazy bums on the side.  

 

Ben and John on one of their "dates" sampling the flights of wine, the martini's and scotch.  There were literally 10 glasses on the table for each of them.  Also a blue cheese curdled martini that John is drinking, which I think we finally convinced him was just gross.  Not all stuffed olives belong in martinis.

 

Ben and I got home last night from our vacation at the beach.  Thanks Pete and Amalia for use of their lovely home! While we were sad to say goodbye to the Comlys and vacation, the fact that we live at the beach, it was 90 here and sunny today, and the dogs are cuter than ever, softened the blow quite a bit.
