Yesterday was a busy day. I got to see Summer and MB late morning, Jaimee and Ava made an appearance for the afternoon while poor Dave was getting dental work, and Wes and Katie arrived from CT for the weekend.
After Wes got his major machine/bike thingy put together for his triathlon in Oceanside tomorrow, there was a quick tour of Venice for first-timer Katie, and then it was on to Miss Hilary's birthday celebration. We enjoyed a great dinner at Primitivo- though the best part was probably the cupcakes Heather brought which were REALLY good. Next up we went bowling- where I swear I pulled a muscle in my stomach on my first bowl and it really affected the entirety of the two games played to follow. ie. I'm not winning any bowling tournaments any time soon. Great fun all the same! Oh. And Ben, (who actually bowled worse than me AND accidentally bowled a mere 6 for a girl who was having a personal best game) won two fun bouncy balls for the doggies in the slot games.
