After having never been to the Staples Center since I've lived in LA- I ended up going two nights in a row. The night after the Lakers game, Karl and Robin invited me to the Taylor Swift concert! SHE WAS AWESOME! I mean, the audience was easily 90% pre-teen and teenage girls screaming bloody murder, and there were a few video montages throughout that were a bit silly, but that girl performed a hell of a show! Super upbeat, tons of wardrobe changes, a surprise appearance from John Mayer who randomly came up to do two songs with her. She's just very very cute!
In other news, there was definitely a 16 or 17 year old boy in front of us with 5 female cohorts who was wearing, along with an entire ill-informed cowboy ensemble, a GUN HOLSTER which he kept his beer cups in. Karl couldn't stop pointing out that the boy was clearly not 21.
