Christmas and More Baby DIY

Since the baby has kindly postponed her arrival- Ben and I have had a chance to kick start our Christmas decorating. We got our tree last night- and I've been pitter pattering around slowly putting up some of our decorations. Ben thinks I use too many ornaments- but I love a cluttered tree! And my amazing manger set that my father made for me last year is lovely on our buffet. I blame the pregnancy brain- but when I opened up my Hogwarts Train (Hooray Harry P!) to put around my tree- I quickly got overwhelmed with the assembly and set it aside for Bearpa to deal with when he gets into town for the birth of Baby L.

And idle hands... deciding that the baby's walls were unacceptably bare- I decided to attempt an art project- which I think turned out pretty cute- but was not photographing well due to the lighting. On recycled grocery bags- I used some leftover paint from Baby L's room to paint the silhouettes of different children's books. I did Olivia the Pig, Curious George, Madeline, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Paddington and Eloise. The purple and grey ones show up better in person... so maybe you should visit to see their glory?

As for the baby- at the doctor today- they confirmed that she still isn't doing much to indicate a willingness to be born. They also mentioned the taboo topic of inducement sometime next week- which I'm REALLY hoping to avoid- but I guess I can't avoid the whole L&D forever...

I agree with Jocelyn!! Your tree looks amazing :) I just "rented" a live tree today, it will be delivered on Wednesday and then they come back in three weeks and take it back to the nursery to keep growing!! I am feeling quite eco-friendly! I am so excited...Hopefully Baby L's arrival beats our xmas tree!!!
