It's Getting to Look a Lot Like Christmas...

Lucy's first Christmas is just around the corner! To celebrate- she went in for her 2 week checkup today. We were very curious as to what her weight would be. She had gone down to 6lbs 6oz after her birth- which is totally normal- and so the "goal" was have her back to her birth weight by her 2 week appointment. Well we've got a porker on our hands- as she was up to a whopping 7lbs and 14oz... Well on her way to those chubby little cheeks!

Grandma and Bearpa arrived earlier today, and cuddled with Miss Lucy all day- allowing me some time to get some holiday baking under way. I also finished making Lucy's stocking- which was a first time attempt for me. I had sent Ben out to the fabric store earlier in the week (he's very good to me like that...) So the stocking will be hung by the chimney with care. This picture of course, was taken prior to Ben sticking his thumb in the still wet "y" - which is now a tad smudged...

In other news- Ben thinks we should add a segment to the blog of "Where's Lucy" in the spirit of "Where's Waldo"- and stick her under pillows and in cabinets. I vetoed this plan- but she is a bit of a little nugget in this picture right?

And more pics of the most popular girl in the house... Ben has also pointed out we should have a non-Lucy post each week- which makes sense. Just the past couple of weeks my life have been 100% Lucy... so apologies for my one-track posting! I promise to spice it up going forward... at least once a week.
