Adult Stuff

In non-Lucy related news... the waves have been great- perhaps due to the ridiculous storm we had this past week. It was HAILING people. Can't complain since we never get any rain and desperately need it- but we have been a bit house-bound... Anyway.

Ben got in some surfing out at Pt. Dume the other weekend and here is a picture of him looking very sexy, in my humble opinion, on this wave:

And in my non-Lucy activity- Jana and Hilary joined me for my first night out without Ben and Lucy. Last night we went and saw Mary Poppins at the Ahmanson Theater downtown. I haven't been to a show in a couple of years, and never in LA- so it was a lot of fun to see what the city had to offer. I thought they did a great job, the sets and choreography were beautiful, and in an added surprise- Dick Van Dyke made an appearance in the show- which was pretty incredible as he played Bert in the movie. Amazing. Also the guy who wrote the Mary Poppins screenplay, as well as Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (total childhood fave of mine...) was in the audience. All in all- it was a great night- but I was missing my husband, baby girl and puppies something terrible... and evidently they missed me. Or so Ben says. He's under the impression that Lucy might be permanently traumatized by my absence for so long a period- though as she was grinning away when I got home- I think Ben may have been projecting...
