Going International

You know how everyone complains that their passport pics are awful? Or at least mine is? Well Lucy kinda rocked hers. Obvs.

Now she can go visit Auntie H. in Amsterdam. I won't get into how depressed I am about her leaving... but I am.

In other news- my child is growing like a weed. She's super long and strong. She's seconds away from crawling- gets her butt up and lifts herself. We had to drop her crib because she's pulling herself up and getting ready to launch herself out. Time to baby-proof the house I suppose. The one thing she's not doing? Sleeping. Ben wants to try the ol' shut the door and let her cry it out. I'm too much of a wimp- so we've embraced some book "Sleep Right Sleep Tight" or something like that. I have promised Ben I will read it tonight and we will begin implementing tomorrow. I think I have about 2 weeks before he enforces the "cry it out" strategy so I hope my little girl works with me on this because I seriously don't have the emotional fortitude for the more drastic approach. Before I had Lucy I totally thought I'd be able to do that. Now I realize I'm a complete and total sucker for my little girl's cry and she's totally trained me well...

So adorable! Viola is two weeks old in hers, and bears absolutely no resemblance to the toddler she is now - crazy that they last for 5 years! Hoping little Lucy (and her mommy) will be using the passport for Italy visits too!

I am so impressed with that passport picture... Wilson was three weeks old, mostly asleep and trying to poo in his. Needless to say, it is not terribly flattering. As for sleeping, we are nearing similar territory. I will keep you posted!
