Being a Halloween baby, I'm on a mission to make the holiday (and all holidays really) magical for the Goose. Or at least magical for her belly. So we had a little caramel apple and cookie decorating get together with some of the local kids at our place on Saturday. I think my poor husband was a little skeptical of the whole thing, but it ended up being really fun. Lucy and I both ate far too many cookies and caramel apples, but I was just happy that the kids even bothered decorating the cookies- as I feared it they might be a little young yet. People were encouraged to come in costume, and while none of the Lucas family actually did, we even had a few people who dressed up fabulously. Lucy ended up be particularly fond of candy corn and ate an entire bowl of them, refusing to share with anyone. This came back to haunt her, or rather our baby sitter later in the night...
As mentioned earlier... the candy corn came back to haunt Lucy and her sitter. Ben and I went up to a Halloween party in Malibu on Saturday night. Our poor sitter was watching Lucy and Lucy got upset and puked on her again. It's starting to give me a little bit of a complex. The good news is that Lucy ate so much crap that afternoon, I think her whole little system is probably much better off for ridding itself of it. Lucy apparently went to bed very peacefully after the episode. Sigh.
The party we went to required costumes to be famous dead people. I felt it would be creepy and morbid to be a dead pregnant person, so opted for fat Elvis instead. Which was handy since Ben had the Elvis costume from last year. It was a surprising hit. Ben was Abe Lincoln, and looked quite nice, however the beard glue drove him half mad.
