We finally went and got our Christmas tree! We tried to convince Lucy that all the cool kids were wearing hats for this festive occasion- but she wasn't buying it- so Ben, Wyatt and I donned them instead. It is actually a little cold in LA right now- so we weren't totally out of line wearing the winter accessories. Well... maybe my Russian head gear might have been a bit much.
So the tree is up- we actually lit our fireplace for the first time in our home ownership - it's only been 3.5 years... and the decorations are coming out. I plan to get Lucy to help me decorate the tree tomorrow- since Ben thinks our collection of ornaments is excessive- and he clearly doesn't understand the proper spirit of tree decorating.
Lucy has also informed me that she wants to have Westin over for cookie decorating this week... so perhaps that is also on the docket since she's the boss and all...
