Girl's Weekend

Well- it wasn't really a girl's weekend- but by the post title- I mean my two favorite girls other than Lucy came to LA this weekend. My mom was here for her birthday, and Heidi (and Todd!) came all the way from Amsterdam. Too much excitement for me!!!

Grandma and Lucy made a gingerbread house... Lucy ate most of the candy decor- but it was pretty cute all the same.

Lucy is pretty into tea parties- so we decided to take Grandma out for tea for her birthday. Lucy likes to 'cheers!' She was also a pretty big fan of the cakes... I am very happy having Heidi and Todd in LA - the kids love them, and I don't really see why they think living in Amsterdam is better than living by me.

Grandma had a hitchhiker in her bag, and so Mickey made an appearance. Lucy was pretty over the moon. And then we got to put diapers on him for about an hour.

Random aside of the day. This shop Huset just opened up recently on Abbot Kinney. You walk in and they ask if you have been in before. When you mention you have not- they say, "everything in here is from Scandinavia!" Which, frankly, didn't mean a lot to me- but I found it to be a very entertaining shop.

Like these watches. Love. I reminded myself that shopping for Amie wasn't really what the Christmas season was all about...

All sorts of cute glasses, plates, odds and ends, clothes and what not. Cute little things for kids too. These mugs I found to be amazing. Especially the description of them (see below). (We're a little boob focused these days- and by "we" I mean Wyatt and Lucy).

"Meet Blossom & Bill, they are in love. They adore listening to the crackle of logs by the campfire and the sound of rain falling. There is nothing better than to watch snowflakes falling silently outside on a late winters night. Their journey has only just started; their story is yet to unfold...."
