After ordering an exorbitantly expensive desk chair for myself, Ben went out into our alley and found what he feels is far more appropriate chair for my desk and talked me into cancelling my aforementioned order. We won't get into the expensive desk chair he got himself....
Anyway- he sold the plan by saying it would be a fun project for me. Which I fully agreed upon after a Google search led me to www.mormanchic.com and some woman who elaborates on the easy and fun world of reupholstering!
Well before you can reupholster, you have to remove the old crusty stuff. I recruited Pete, who is happy only when given a project, to be my assistant, and we proceeded to hack away at the thing.
This is right about the time I started wondering what on earth we were doing. This is also right about quitting time, so I'm sure I'll have a functioning and well-upholstered chair at my desk in no time at all! On a side note I completely fried my back. Wear sunscreen people!
Fancy little shot of Ben in his oh-so-stylish golf attire. And yes... we are currently covering our windows with sheets. I'm for sure going to get around to window treatments at some point.
And some gratuitous puppy shots because, well because I can. This is literally what the boys do when Ben leaves the house. They wait for him to come home. I try not to be insulted, but for goodness' sake I certainly love them more than he does! Don't mind Charlie's cone... he's been scratching himself.

that is an awesome golf outfit! it's what chuck bass would probably wear if he played golf...
Chuck Bass is amazing.
good luck with that chair! when you said you were going to re-upholster a chair, i picture a chair with fabric just on the seat :) can't wait to see the final product!
Amie, I love the look and shape of the chair. It will look great in your office. So glad we got to see your house before we left. Malloy also sits and waits for Jimmy to come home, so don't worry about it :)
