So as I exuberantly mentioned a bit back- Kate and Nicco are expecting. What she is having, we have no idea since it was first a boy, now possibly a girl... and at this point I refuse to commit to one gender or another until the little bugger pops out. Anyway.... I left the Lucas brothers in LA to do "guy stuff," and this past weekend I went to Crested Butte to crash a little bit of Collins Family Fun time so that I could catch a glimpse of this glowing mommy to be. (Crested Butte via Denver and the DNC has that city bustling!) I was very obnoxious with the camera and you'll notice I kept demanding a similar pose over and over each time she changed outfits...
In addition to oohing and ahhing over her, there was also plenty of opportunity to marvel at the beauty that is CB. The weather was amazing and we got in a nice long hike with her dad on Saturday through some of the prettiest forest I have ever seen. Too bad I was huffing and puffing the entire way and the soon-to-be grandpa and 6-month preggers woman were outpacing me by more than several strides. Altitude I tell you.
Another highlight, other than Emily's amazing cooking, was the fact that Kate's aunt had lent her a fetal doppler machine and I got to hear the little tyke's heartbeat. Too amazing for words!
I got home this morning and not only was the house in one piece, but my amazing and sexy husband had done the laundry for me AND made the bed! I think he must have missed me!
