Felton Mania

We love Seattle.  Not only is it gorgeous- but it's the home of the Felton Family- and they are an incredibly fun and adorable family.  Not to mention the fact that they are expecting Baby Felton and Ann's glowing and sporting the world's cutest mini-bump.  Apologies Ann for the excessive patting on my part.

One result of our visit is a renewed interest in decorating our home, since Ann's an amazing interior designer, they bought their house at the same time we did, and they are fully equipped with beautiful decoration.  Ben was going from room to room discussing the curtains and how much better they were than sheets on windows, and how nice carpets feel underfoot and how much easier it is to see with light from lamps... I am going to get on it...

We did a lot of eating.  We also went to the Theo organic chocolate factory for a tour, which was already booked full so we resigned ourselves to just eating all the chocolate there.  Excellent chocolate, but there was a Coconut Curry flavor which was just odd.  The coffee flavored one was the group favorite.

The Seattle Fish Market is of course an amazing tourist stop for anyone visiting, but even more fun for us, because Ann and John actually DO shop there for amazing gourmet goods.  Really awesome, colorful and chaotic place.

My favorite highlights... Did you know peanuts grew underground like this? Because I didn't.  But I'm now determined to grow my own just for giggles in my backyard.  The picture on the right is a bin full of cheese curd from the cheese shop.  We happen to really love cheese curd and Ben asked each girl in the store for a free sample so they wouldn't know he was double dipping.

Mt. Ranier was hiding from us all weekend, but it poked it's head out while we were driving back to the airport.

We were supposed to go from Seattle to the Bay Area for a wedding, but due to the markets being an absolute disaster area, Ben couldn't really face losing a small fortune so we had to go directly back to LA and fore go the fun in the middle.  The only good part about that- other than Ben not losing money of course, is that we get to be home for JACKSON'S BIRTHDAY morning tomorrow!
