Surfboards and Cars

I think I mentioned awhile back that Ben got himself a beautiful new long board, but sadly we didn't have a car large enough to transport it- so Ben was convinced we needed all new cars. Well this morning, after my very successful surfing attempt, Ben figured out a way to actually fit said board into our Volvo wagon.  A very exciting discovery, which he plans on utilizing tomorrow morning to finally break in his board.  And as he finished testing out the board in the car, he announced: "I guess we don't need a new car after all."

Well then we were driving to IKEA later today (because that's what married people do), and we passed a Ford dealership.

"Should we go in?" Ben asks?
"Well we don't need a new car anymore." I innocently reply.
"Oh let's just swing in." Ben says as he swerves across two lanes to get into the entrance.

About 15 minutes later, Ben has forced them to shake hands on a well debated deal and voila! He's got himself a new toy.

And it's a Hybrid!  We're SO eco-friendly.  The kicker?  Both the dogs and the surfing gear have been deemed too dirty to put in the new car at this early stage.

We never made it to IKEA.
