New house, too much free time... we happen to be very project friendly these days. I've planted 150 ranunculus bulbs throughout the yard, I have radishes, green onions and sugar snap peas growing in pots, I've been working on my re-upholstery project (yes the chair has not been forgotten- I'm totally making progress!), cooking up a storm, and even Ben's joining in the fun with his new-found discovery of spackle (thanks Pete), and the creation of a side table for his office.  

Progress of chair and new side table below.  The chair may look no different from when it was first posted, but the crusty old foam padding has all been replaced and legs have been painted.  Way to go me.  As for the side table- it was created from a light fixture that had been hanging above our kitchen table- which I thought sort of looked like a bee's nest - so Ben refashioned it into a side table.  I think it looks great.  The bad news is that both my sister and Ben seem to like the old light fixture for the kitchen better than the new.  Oh well.  

 

Even the dogs are joining in on the fun as Charlie dug 3 new holes today in the backyard and his face is covered in dried mud.  Jackson prefers more leisure activities like napping...
