Tourists in Our Own Town

Have I mentioned that I have a bit of an unnatural obsession with Friends?  Yes.  I'm referring to the TV show that ceased airing years ago.  I love it.  It's on TBS about 4 times a day- sometimes 6, and I tape and watch them all.  LOVE IT.  Anyway- Ben did a bit of reconnaissance and discovered that for a small fee, we could tour the Warner Brother's lot INCLUDING Central Perk and loads of other spots on the show, not to mention a million other shows and movies.  Yes, very touristy, but we were totally all over it.  And it was so much fun!  Just us and the midwesterners!  It's pretty crazy how one street set based as NYC has been used in a bajillion different movies over the years.

The flying car in Harry Potter.  (We also have an awesome pic of Ben and I trying to catch the Hogwarts Train but that's our souvenir from the tour and we don't have it digital.  Big shame for my readers I know!)

No, this is not me in the ER last Friday- but this IS me on the set of ER!  Ben too!

Nice foliage on the trees right?  Or not. It's all silk fake leaves that they manually tie on there.  And no, that's not Ben on the streets of NYC, that's him on set.

Friends Mania!
"Central Park" scene where Phoebe and Rachel run funny and Rachel runs into the cop on the horse:
Me- at the corner where Rachel and Monica are drooling over Jean Claude Van Damn (or whatever his name is..) who's on the movie set with Ross' old monkey Marcel- and Monica has Rachel go over to talk her up to him, but Rachel ends up dating him herself (yes, I just saw this episode the other day):

The Geller's old house- and the stairs where Ross comes down to take Rachel to prom only to find out she's landed a different date:

And yes! Central Perk!
