Meeting the Family (Warning of Lots of Cute Babies)

As Ben headed to Utah for a boys' ski weekend with Comly and Wes, (he's promised a couple pictures for a non-Lucy post!), Lucy and I went off to Oregon last Thursday for two super-fun Lucy playdates!  Not only did Lucy get to meet all of her cousins (my cousins and their kids since Heidi and Andrew are not providing any "first" cousins in the near term...), but she also got to meet her future Middlebury College roommates. Provided she skips a grade.

Lucy was great on the flight. I was a bit nervous traveling with her by plane for the first time by myself- but she was a total champion and succeeded in charming the pants off the entire plane full of people. Or at least me.  Though the flight attendant did say she was the cutest baby she had ever seen- and quite frankly I believe her.  Because she is.

Friday morning- Lucy got to meet all four of her cousins in the beautiful Lake Oswego area: the head of the family Quinn, his new brother Ethan, and little Miss Ruby.  Lucy may have slept through part of it... being the youngest can be sort of stressful.  After Quinn headed off to school- it was a lot of girls for Ethan to juggle all by himself!  It was so great to meet all the new additions, and Ruby's hair is incredible- rivaled perhaps only, by Viola's as you'll see in an upcoming post.

Then Sunday night (aka Superbowl Sunday), Bob and Sandy hosted a family dinner at their place, where Lucy got to meet the rest of the crew (sans Toddy who we'll have to catch next time!)  Thank you all for having us!
