Golf

So Pete's been in town this week and weekend escaping the octogenarian's that have invaded his home in Florida.  Always a pleasure to have him, but I think Ben's had a particularly good time, as they have done all things golf since Pete got here.  

On Friday, Ben and Pete went down south to the Four Seasons Resort in Carlsbad where they have a Taylormade Performance Lab.  Ben was getting fitted for some new custom made clubs and Pete was going in for a swing analysis.  Apparently they suit you up in these wacky neoprene/camera sensored things that are utilized by both video game makers and apparently film makers (specifically "The Lord of the Rings"). Ben and Pete were giddy as schoolgirls when they got back - apparently this is an experience not to be missed by golf enthusiasts.  

On a side note, allegedly John Daly's RV has been parked out there for a week - evidently the guy's been boozing and womanizing nonstop... Also, LT from the Chargers was there all suited up getting his own clubs made.  The Lucas men are such high rollers!

Then on Saturday, the boys got up early to head down to the Resort at Pelican Hills where they played a long round of golf.  According to them, the place is just stunning with ocean views along 14 or 15 of the holes.  Sadly Ben's golf game wasn't as pretty, though he managed a beauty shot on the 18th, which is really all that matters right?  

I've had a much quieter weekend, with the only real notable thing being getting my hair butchered yesterday.  The girl was very focused on "thinning" out my very thick hair and went a little crazy with the layering.  Out of vanity, I'm not including a photo. 

Today's the Superbowl - Go Giants!  We're having some people over and I got a little aggressive with my menu- so we'll see what I actually end up making.  But as Ben keeps reminding me... it's a football day, not a dinner party.
