Oscars

I can't wait for the Oscar's tomorrow night! (Particularly the red carpet).  My guesses on who's winning in bold below:

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR

***Casey Affleck for "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford"***

Javier Bardem for "No Country for Old Men"

Philip Seymour Hoffmann for "Charlie Wilson's War"

Hal Holbrook for "Into the Wild"

Tom Wilkinson for "Michael Clayton"

**Ben wants Javier Bardem to win and I want Casey Affleck to...

BEST ACTOR

George Clooney for "Michael Clayton"

***Daniel Day-Lewis for "There Will be Blood"***

Johnny Depp for "Sweeney Todd"

Tommy Lee Jones for "In the Valley of Elah"

Viggo Mortensen for "Eastern Promises

**Ben wants Daniel Day-Lewis to win and I guess I do too... though I heard Viggo Mortenson was amazing.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS

Tilda Swinton for "Michael Clayton"

Amy Ryan for "Gone Baby Gone"

Saoirse Ronan for "Atonement"

Ruby Dee for "American Gangster"

***Cate Blanchett for "I'm Not There"***

**Ben wants Cate Blanchett to win and so do I.

BEST ACTRESS

Cate Blanchett for "Elizabeth: The Golden Age"

Julie Christie for "Away from Her"

***Marion Cotillard for "La Vie en Rose"***

Laura Linney for "The Savages"

Ellen Page for "Juno"

**Ben and I both want Ellen Page to win but we don't think she will...

BEST PICTURE

"Atonement"

"Juno"

"Michael Clayton"

***"There Will Be Blood"***

"No Country for Old Men"

**Ben for sure wants "There Will Be Blood."  While I thought the acting was the tops in this... I think I liked the plot better in "No Country for Old Men" and I was far more thoroughly entertained by "Juno..." Perhaps I'm not very deep.
