Baby Showers

Early Sunday morning- we begged a ride off Danny and Evan over to Baltimore where the day was devoted to babies. First up was Ginny's baby shower. I swear it's not fair that she's further along than me and yet looking far more fit, and more importantly, complaining far less. Patience has never been my virtue.

Then from Ginny's shower, Ben and I were off to our own, which Toni & Evan, Audrey and Tommy, and Ben's parents all so generously and sweetly organized for us. I can't tell you how spoiled this child is going to be. I really feel we're going to have to pop out a #2 pretty quick just to keep her from a completely spoiled princess stage. Though I suppose I should survive labor and delivery, followed by new and unprepared parenting before uttering such nonsense publicly.

There was a most excellent moment while we were opening Peanut's spoils where I literally burst through my dress- nearly giving the entirety of Ben's family a show of my increasingly impressive rack. Luckily a safety pin was found before I completely embarrassed myself. Everyone was incredibly generous and sweet to our little Peanut, though I have to say I thought the best gift was when we got our fancy Oeuf crib from both sets of our parents- so our little one can rest comfortably and fashionably at night thanks to YaYa, Pancho, Bearpa and Grandma. That is of course if she deigns to sleep, which fingers crossed...

What a lucky little baby! You look gorgeous (cute dress!), and the cake looks delish (particularly the strawberries with white chocolate)!
