Hiking

Seeing as how running is officially out for me as a form of exercise these days- be it my lack of any lung capacity or my generous girth making me a bit off balance- I've been partaking in hiking more recently. Ben and my sister humored me earlier this week- which was actually a pretty big concession for Ben since he thinks hiking is silly and we might as well walk along the side of the highway. He did admit that it was more fun than he was expecting by the end though! And then Lauren- who is in town for a few weeks- agreed to join me yesterday.

Last night Ben and I went and saw "Inglourious Basterds" - the new Quentin Tarantino flick. I was thoroughly entertained by the film. It's not exactly historically accurate- but the history books would have been pretty entertaining if it were! I think Ben liked it too- though he managed to snooze through 10 minutes in the middle. I think that was more a function of his surfing and golfing activities throughout the day than a testament to the film...
