This past weekend we were in Mississippi celebrating Leroy Brown and Amanda's blessed nuptials. I've only driven through MS before- so it was fun to check out this crazy locale. I'm happy to report there was a lot of country music on the radio (much to Ben's dismay- as it was either that or Christian Rock).
The wedding was being held in a dry county (who knew they still existed?) - which was essentially a dare for all of Bo's friends to find as much alcohol as they possibly could at all hours of the day. Hence- our Saturday visit to Ruby Tuesdays in the next county over - which was the only place in driving distance with both alcohol AND football on TV.
The wedding was held at a beautiful old Jewish Temple Museum- which is one of the oldest buildings in all of Brookhaven. There were some seriously cute children in the wedding- and the bride and groom were glowing throughout the whole ceremony.
And as fore-mentioned, the boys WERE able to rustle up SOME alcohol- which led a couple boys, who's names need not be mentioned, to invest in some really high class hair pieces, as they re-enacted their favorite scenes from Eastbound and Down.
A highlight of the weekend was all the quality time we got to spend with the newly engaged Mr. Wes and Ms. Katie who had made the trip from CT- always a treat!
