Pete and Amalia arrived on Wednesday evening for a Labor Day Weekend visit. Last night we made our way over to the Santa Monica Pier for the last music on the pier night featuring Patti Smith. Then we tried out our local Top Chef gastronomy at some place called Yard off the Promenade where a Season 3 contestant is a chef. Food was decent- a little gastropub- but Ben and I thought it was a bit heavy on the sauces. I made this picture small because both Ben and Amalia are making weird faces so I'll just have to hope for better pictures throughout the weekend...
