Posing for the camera. Lucy likes to check herself out in mirrors right now and backs into it like she's checking out her bum. Do I do that? Is that where she gets it from? She's also rocking flip flops- which she's totally obsessed with right now. Unfortunately she HATES having something between her toes, so we put them on- she freaks out and rips them off, and then wants them back on again. About 100x until I hide the flip flops and calmly explain that they are 'napping.'
Lucy is also very into her helmet right now. She knows she has to wear it on the bike if we are going to get on the bike. But she hates it. So we practice wearing it around. She makes me wear mine too. Mine is a ski helmet- and when worn on the bike has prompted friendly strangers to call out, "nice hat!" in sarcastic tones. What's with the heckling?
Auntie Heidi likes to sleep. And manages to sleep till noon despite Lucy's soft and gentle sounds. Which makes me a little more than hesitant when Heidi offers to watch Lucy overnight saying, "she'll be FIIINNEE!" Yes- I know she will survive. However I have grave doubts that Heidi would wake up to save Lucy from her crib before noon the next day- and since Lucy rises at 5 or 6 pretty regularly- I think her patience would be a bit tested. Anyway. In my ever tolerant and understanding ways- I get slightly bored with this excess sleeping and send Lucy in to Heidi's room to fetch her band box after I've had enough of the laziness. Lucy has embraced this tradition and Heidi can't really do anything about it.
Telling mommy a very serious story.

Those 3 up-close pictures of her expressions are just priceless! Too adorable!
She's so expressive - I love it! Her flip flops are very stylish.
I swear Lucy is saying "shoes" in the last "serious story" picture. If I remember miss Lucy correctly, shoes are serious business. Miss you guys already. Lucy spikes my baby fever to 103!
