Night Out

On Saturday night, Ben and I grabbed a nice dinner out with Jana and Lance at a new spot nearby called Next Door by Josie. We then made the big push east of the 405 to see Aloe Blacc who was playing at the El Rey theater. He put on a great show and is a bit of a throwback in sound and style. I think it's safe to say that Ben and I were both envying his style and dance moves. The man can dance. And sing. And rock a vest like none other.

Lucy also had an exciting night. We were very optimistic after a very calm goodbye where we explained we were going to dinner and she gave us hugs and kisses and said "bye bye." I got a text after we had left saying she was happy as a clam. And then I got a follow-up text that Lucy had noticed we were still gone, got really upset and proceeded to puke all over herself and the sitter. This is the second time she's done this with the same sitter. Who had plans to go out after sitting. My little girl. Ben thinks it's dependency issues she has, which probably reads as me coddling her... She's done this a few times now. The good news is that she went to sleep after her wardrobe change and was sleeping like an angel when we returned home. And our sitter was a super sport about it. Again.
