Pumpkins and RIP Otis...

Well I'm a little bit depressed. Otis kicked the bucket this evening. Ben thinks he was just unable to recover from his life prior to us and says that it is in no way a reflection of my mothering, as we have a thriving child and two dogs. And then he said, "well a thriving child anyway." In all seriousness, I'm pretty bummed about the loss. I was already planning on a trip to the pet store this weekend to get a nice bowl for Otis and perhaps even a friend. And Lucy said his name really sweetly and greeted him every day by sticking her face up to the water. Back to three little ones...

In happier news, we had Lucy's friend Harper over this week while we carved a pumpkin. Ben kept trying to get Goose and Harper to stick their hands into the pumpkin to feel the slimy seeds but they both declined his offer and observed his handiwork instead.

Sweeping is hard work.

Can you see the "BOO" stamp? MyGym doles out stamps after class each week and Lucy requests them on both hands and then also on her belly.

Off to fishy heaven to Otis.

Ben is a good pumpkin carver; good he married a Halloween birthday girl.

Cute belly button Miss Lucy.
