That's right! We've added to our brood. Otis the goldfish came home with us yesterday. I'm pleased, proud, and honored to tell you all that I won him at the Westchester Home Town Halloween Fair yesterday. I won him for my daughter. On my first try. The Goose may get some athletic abilities from me yet.
The site of my heroic feat:
They tried to pawn a one-eyed fish on us at first, but I demanded that Ben go back and exchange him. I'm happy to report that Otis not only made it home with us, but he has lived through the night. If he makes it through the week we're going to get him an official bowl. I read online that they can live 10-25 years. My goal is the 25.
The Paul family invited us out to the fair with them- which ended up being a super cute little day. All the kids were in costume (doesn't Lucy look stunning in Red and Gold?) There were lots of games, rides, a great band, and even a chili cook-off from the local firefighters.
Apparently my husband and daughter are jealous of my pregnancy curves.
All in all- a very fun little day, and great excuse for me to bump up my pet numbers to 3. Charlie and Jackson haven't acknowledged Otis yet, but I am sure they will warm up to him soon.
