April 2007

April:

WEDDING MONTH!!!!

There was Easter... my parents came down for that which was fun. However, this month was pretty wedding-centric. I guess that's bound to happen.

Festivities broke down as follows:

Thursday Night at Lula's on Main Street

Bridesmaid's Luncheon at One Pico in the Shutters Hotel (courtesy of the amazing Emily Collins)

Rehearsal at the Adamson House (total chaos- you'd think no one had ever been to a wedding)

Rehearsal Dinner at the Victorian on Main Street (beautifully planned and organized by my wonderful mother-in-law, Amalia)

After-Dinner Imbibing at Local Bar (right around this time my hotel room was flooding)

When I got back to the Sheraton Delfina the night before the wedding- I found the most beautiful dollhouse that my dad made for a wedding gift. What an incredibly touching and amazing amazing amazing gift. The details are incredible!!! He wanted to give us a "house" like in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" (as Ben's mom's side is Greek) and he also thought it was the only thing he could think of to "keep me a little girl." I guess all the fatherly angst and bittersweet feelings went into this beautiful masterpiece. Now if we could just shrink down to live in it!

Then the Main Event at the Adamson House:
The Girls:
The Maid of Honor (my sister Heidi):
My family:
How cute is our flower girl Miss Grace?
The handsome groomsemen:
The dead sexy groom:
The Best Man (Ben's brother Andrew):
The Ceremony:
My whole family:

Ben's whole family:
Ben and his parents and brother:
The (massive) wedding party:
Yes we DID get married at the beach!

Time to party!
And they lived happily ever after....

The next morning we had a beautiful Brunch at the Sheraton Delfina where most people were staying. People were rolling in as they could - serious imbibing appeared to have taken place during the celebration....

On a side note- we really loved our photographers and our florist.
