The first weekend in October was a busy one for us. We flew into San Jose and drove straight to Hollister for Casey and Janelle Lopez' wedding. So fun for me to see such a long-time friend (since the 7th grade) get married and to be part of the celebration. Funny to see all the old guys from junior high looking like adult men. Do I look that old? Unfortunately- my high school reunion was the VERY SAME day in San Francisco- so we were only able to stay through the cocktail hour. They make a gorgeous couple and the weather was just perfect.
We went straight from Casey and Janelle's wedding to San Francisco for my 10-year St. Francis reunion (changing in the car for the second time that day) It was so great to see everyone, and especially to reconnect with Krista and Christa. I'm hoping we can all figure out a way to do a dinner again soon...
My mom came down for a weekend just for a little visit. It was great having her - though the weekends always go by so quickly.
Ben's family all came out the week before Thanksgiving since Andrew couldn't get the Friday off after and they weren't able to join us in Grass Valley. We had a nice time in LA with them- though poor Pete was stuck attending a conference at USC the whole time.
For Thanksgiving we were up in Grass Valley. We had a great time, got in some golf, horse shoes. The meal turned out pretty well- the standard fare. I was a kitchen hog as usual- such a control freak.
Spence and Kim came up from the Bay Area with Mr. Quinn in tow. CUTEST little guy EVER!

For the rest of the long weekend we hung out in downtown Grass Valley- they always have street fairs going on up there- particularly for the holidays, and lazed around the house. The pups ran around and also watched us all play Chess. Look at them winking for the camera.
